September Still Life With Flickr Theme: To Go

L

Oh wow. It’s September already. When did that happen? Er, yesterday I guess! So, that means I’m officially late with this month’s theme. I’d say that it’s because I was so caught up with all the great images from last month! There were some exceptional photos of food and people… I think August was the best month yet! Just take a look at some of these gorgeous shots:

In addition, I loved that some of the photographers took action on the comments and made their photos even better showing what a powerful learning experience this type of forum can be. Thanks all who both critiqued and were critiqued!

But in reality, I’m late this month because it’s my wedding anniversary weekend and on Thursday my husband surprised me with a spur of the moment trip. So, right now, I’m in Chicago seeing the sites. And as we were sitting out on a patio enjoying a nice beer on a sunny afternoon it occurred to me that I had missed the first day of the new theme! Not a bad excuse, eh?

And so, September rolls in a new theme. I know for me, September marks the end of summer and beginning yet again of the school year. My daughter starts back to school next week, and I have to start planning lunches… which made me think of an interesting theme of Food To Go. Maybe a packed lunch, or a picnic, or simply a bite on the run from a street vender… whatever your version of To Go is, let’s see it!

The usual rules and are up on the Flickr group… the things like be constructive, take the photos during the month if possible, 3 photos per person and the last day is September 30th.

Have fun!

(P.S.: If you get your 3 photos done, and want more to do, make sure you participate in Foodography #9. This month’s theme is Let them Eat Cake!)
